    Your protection

What we do when things go right, and when they do not

Verification, moderation and a dispute path that either party can open. This page states which of those are live today and which are still on the way.

    Safety pillars

Four things running underneath every order

None of these are optional extras or a paid tier. They apply to every account.

    • Identity verification

Freelancers can submit a government-issued ID for review by our team. Only accounts we have actually checked carry the Verified badge.

    • Payments, and what is not live yet

Escrow is not live yet. During early access you agree on payment directly with your freelancer, and the brief, files and delivery record still stay on the platform.

    • Content moderation

Our team reviews listings, profiles and reported messages, and removes fraudulent, misleading or prohibited content.

    • Data protection

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, is never sold, and payment details are handled by our payment partners rather than stored on our servers.

    Resolution centre

    How a dispute actually runs

Four stages, all of them started from the order page itself.

    1. Open a dispute

Either party can escalate from the order page within seven days of delivery. You do not need the other side to agree first.

      Within 7 days of delivery

    2. Provide evidence

Both sides submit their account, pointing at the brief, the messages and the delivered files already on the order record.

The order page is the evidence

    3. Mediation

Our trust and safety team reads the case against the order requirements and comes back to both parties with questions if anything is unclear.

    4. Resolution

We issue an outcome: release to the seller, a partial refund, or a full refund. Most cases close within three to five business days.

Typically 3 to 5 business days

    Protections

    Covered on both sides

Marketplaces usually publish buyer protection and leave sellers to guess. Here is the same table for both.

Protections available to clients compared with protections available to freelancers on Khedmati.

A dash means the line does not apply to that side of the marketplace.

    Reporting

What you can report, and should

Every profile, service, job and message carries a Report option. Reports are read by a person.

    • Fraud and scams

Fake profiles, phishing attempts, or services that misrepresent what is actually delivered.

    • Harassment and abuse

Threatening, discriminatory or abusive behaviour toward anyone on the platform.

    • Intellectual property

Copyrighted material, plagiarism, or a portfolio showing work that is not theirs.

    • Spam and manipulation

Fake reviews, review trading, or unsolicited promotional messages.

Something is wrong with an order

If you have hit a safety problem or a dispute you cannot settle on the order page, write to us and it goes to the top of the queue.

Never move a deal off Khedmati. Off-platform arrangements have no order record and no dispute path.
