    Refund Policy

Clear rules for cancellations, refunds, and dispute outcomes. Escrow keeps both sides safe.

    Last updated: July 2, 2026

    1. How escrow shapes refunds

When you place an order on Khedmati, your payment is held in escrow by the platform. It is not transferred to the freelancer until you approve the delivered work. This model is what makes refunds simple in most cases: while funds sit in escrow, returning them does not depend on recovering money from anyone.

Once you approve a delivery, escrow is released to the freelancer and the order is final. Approval is your confirmation that the work meets the order requirements, so review deliveries carefully before accepting.

    2. When you get a full refund

You are entitled to a full refund of the escrowed amount when: the order is cancelled before the freelancer starts or delivers work; the freelancer declines or cancels the order; the freelancer becomes unresponsive and misses the delivery deadline without communication; or both parties mutually agree to cancel.

In these cases the refund is automatic once the cancellation is confirmed on the order page. No justification battle, no forms.

    3. Delivered work: revisions come first

If a delivery does not match what was agreed, the first step is a revision request, not a refund. Every package includes a defined number of revision rounds, and most disagreements are resolved there with specific feedback.

Refund requests on delivered work are handled through the dispute process when revisions have not solved the problem or the delivery is fundamentally different from the order requirements.

    4. Disputes and partial refunds

Either party can open a dispute from the order page. Our team reviews the order requirements, the messages exchanged on the platform, and the delivered files, then issues a resolution within 3 to 5 business days.

Possible outcomes are: full release to the freelancer, full refund to the client, or a partial split when part of the work has real value. The decision is based on the written record, which is why keeping all communication on Khedmati matters.

    5. How and when refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method, typically your Whish Money wallet. Processing takes 5 to 10 business days depending on the payment provider.

Platform commissions are not charged on refunded orders. Payment provider fees, where charged by the provider itself, may not be recoverable.

    6. What is not refundable

Orders approved by the client are final, as approval releases escrow. Work delivered as agreed but no longer needed by the client is not refundable. Payments made outside the platform are never covered: Khedmati cannot protect, recover, or refund money sent directly between users.

Repeated abuse of cancellations or disputes to obtain free work violates our Terms of Service and leads to account suspension.
